Irene Chung is a journalist, illustrator, and author based between New York City and Taipei.
Irene Chung is a multidisciplinary journalist and illustrator. She received a Master's in Fine Arts in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence, RI (2024). Irene earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences and Journalism from Boston University (2022). Her written and illustrated works can be found in the Boston Globe, Edible Rhody, Dwell, AARP, Heritage Radio Network, La Vie Taiwan, Mirror Fiction, and more. Her subjects of interest include food, women’s health, femininity, modern romance, memories, and loss.
Her first illustrated book was published by Reading Times in Taiwan in December 2025. She aspires to run her own publishing house one day and dedicate her publications to women in arts and culture.
