Irene's Avocado Map in New York City

New York is filled with coffee shops and countless brunch places. I came from Boston, and I suddenly fond the difference between these two cities. In comparison to Boston, there are more independent coffee shops and cafe restaurant in New York, and I believe everyone can find one that matches his or her aesthetic taste and taste buds. As an avocado lover, how can resist to order avocado toast in every shop? I have saved numerous cafe post in my instagram (which is a lot! I don't even have time to visit them all). I picked some that I've either long wanted to go or are recommended by some travel websites. Therefore, this is the holistic avocado toast reviews if you are also planing on a trip to New York City!

1. The Butcher's Daughter

The iconic vegan restaurant in New York City. I know this because the Victoria's Secret super model Romes Strijd has been here! My friend and I ordered the Benedict avocado smash and butcher's bowl to share. Both of them are flavorful, and their selected avocado is creamy in texture. To be honest, I didn't realized the bowl is also vegan because its "ham" inside tastes so real and satisfying. This cafe is not big but I really love its vibes and interior design, which can definitely energize you on Saturday morning!

location: 19 Kenmare Street, New York, NY 10012

2. Little Collins

I love this place. I don't know how to describe, but the moment I entered this shop, I immediately fell in love. The space is much more smaller than The Butcher's Daughter with about ten seats. I ordered "the smash" and a cold brew. The smash is generously good. I love the combination of spiciness from chili, light sourness from avocado, and the warmth from toast. The poach egg brings all the flavors together.

3. Union Pizza Work

well, this place is known for its pizza, but we didn't order it because we come in the afternoon for snacks. Its avocado toast tastes surprisingly good. I actually seldom have avocado toast with sunny side up, but crispiness of the egg spices up the whole dish!

location: 423 Troutman St, Brooklyn, NY 11237

4. Good Thanks Cafe

Oh my God, this one is actually my favorite. (oh actually Little Collins is my favorite, too.) It is an Australian cafe. Look at how generously they put on the avocado. My friend and I ordered an avocado toast, blue bowl, matcha latte, and cold brew to share. The size is not too big but I am satisfied by these orders. For the avocado toast, they use sour dough, but they also provide gluten-free bread if you ask for it! It is a small and cozy cafe seated right next to the famous bagel shop, Russ and Daughters.

Location: 131a Orchard St, New York, NY 10002

Stay tuned for part two!
